Kayonan Learning
Kayonan Learning Philosophy
Kayonan is the lead wayang-kulit in Balinese shadow theatre. It is shaped like a tree and is beautifully decorated with intricate design and bright colour. KAYONAN wiggles and waves across the screen, dancing in the candle-light to the rhythms of the djembe drum. It brings energy and life to the other puppets and is a true example of confidence and creativity. KAYONAN Learning Community reflects encouragement and likes to light the path to holistic education and student-centred learning. The KAYONAN tree is the perfect symbol to represent what we love to do!
About us

Children are as diverse as flowers! Can a rose be compared to an orchid? Kayonan learning philosophy supports diversity rather than bench-marking. It is inclusive and focuses on the success of the individual. Each child is supported to reach their personal potential.

Classes are deliberately small, and the environment is well-resourced and homely. There is a 3-phase day that optimises learning across the curriculum and ensures a healthy child-centred balance is maintained.

Not only are academic subjects taught, and social activities and physical experiences facilitated, emotional well-being is strengthened, and spiritual enrichment is supported.
